Biography
Jackie is an actor/writer/director with a strong history in improvised comedy.
As an actor she is best known for her role as the desperate familiar in Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s vampire documentary, What We Do in the Shadows. She plays the inept producer, Pauline, in TV3's Funny Girls and the straight-talking Gloria in Australia's Channel 7 show 800 Words.
She has voiced documentary series as well as commercials in NZ and Australia - her most recent character being a fed up chameleon in the Valspar Paint commercials.
As a writer/director she has made seven award-winning short films produced in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
She won SPADA New Filmmaker of the Year in 2013. She premiered her first first feature film The Inland Road at the Berlin Film Festival 2017 and her second feature film The Breaker Upperers at SXSW 2018.
